Shalom!
In 2006, I became a part of a weekly email learning Torah from a guy named "Rick." Rick sent out commentaries on the Torah reading and there were "reply all" discussions. I was mostly too shy to say anything, but loved learning from Rick and hearing everyone's comments. This went on for over a year, I think. Then, suddenly, the emails stopped. After awhile an email was sent by Rick's wife. Rick had been killed in a car accident. It was traumatic for me and for others who were a part of Rick's online circle of friends. It's not so easy grieving for someone who is important to you, yet you don't even know what they looked like. Those on Rick's list continued to chat back and forth, offering thoughts on the Torah portion. But it was different...and difficult.
I've always loved to learn and to study. One day I cautiously sent out a Torah teaching to those Torah friends on Rick's list. I braced myself for criticism, but these friends were so encouraging. Some of them are still on my list. To make a long story short, that was how I got started writing. Sending out Torah commentaries was NEVER my plan. It's definitely not my comfort zone. But the Almighty has guided and helped me along the way. I am grateful and humbled by how I have been blessed.
Eleven years ago I began my Torah commentary email list. Every week a letter has gone out...I figure close to 600 consecutive weeks. Six hundred means a Shabbat is coming for me, and that's my announcement. This week will be my final letter. A lot has changed in the Hebrew Roots world over those 11 years. There are now many new Torah teachers with amazing commentaries and teachings. They are easy to find doing a Google search with the Torah portion name. You can add Yeshua to your Google search if you want a believer's commentary.
With all my heart, I say THANK YOU to the many of you who have encouraged me along the way. With all that is within me, I bless the Holy Name of YHWH. But now, I feel His pruning, and although I don't know exactly what the future holds, I know He holds my future and has a Kingdom plan for me.
All of the original commentaries can be found on our website - yourlivingwaters. A good friend also posted my email letters from the last two years. You can find them here - Fruits of Torah. If you need any help finding others who write commentaries, email me. I'm still around and eager to help people in their journey!
I'm kind of sad, but I do look forward to the Kingdom where all of us will be together learning truth under the King! I also look forward to being in the Promised Land. Yes, I look forward to ALL of the promises that He has given. Todah la'El!
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Adonai of shalom Himself give you shalom always in every way. Adonai be with you all.
Shabbat Shalom with love,
Ardelle
