Balak

Shalom!   Our entire Torah portion this week focuses on Balak's zeal to curse and destroy the people of Israel. Of the 54 sections of the Torah, six of them are named after people. Only two of them are named after Gentiles - Yitro and Balak. Yitro is Moshe's father-in-law who only sought to bless the Israelites (see Shemot 18).
