Naso

Shalom!   This week in our Torah portion, Naso, YHWH commands the Aaronic priests to bless the people of Israel by placing His Name upon them. In the beautiful words of the Aaronic blessing, we have the amazing opportunity to see an example of what our Creator Himself considers to be a proper "blessing":   Bemidbar/Numbers 6:22 And YHWH spoke to Moshe, saying: 23 "Speak to Aharon and his sons, saying, 'This is the way you shall bless the children of...

This week the theme of holiness continues as Parashat Emor begins with many instructions for the priesthood concerning their personal life. YHWH wants to make it clear that He desires to be in the midst of both our ministry and our personal life. The priests of Israel must not only "talk the talk", but most importantly "walk the walk". Yeshua had something to say to...

Acharei Mot/Kedoshim

Shalom!   For weeks now, we have been mentioning that Vayikra/Leviticus is the book of "holiness". This week Parashat Kedoshim begins with YHWH telling Moshe to address the entire congregation imploring them to be holy:   Vayikra/Leviticus 19:1 And YHWH spoke to Moshe, saying, 2 "Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I YHWH your Elohim am holy.   The command begs the question,...
