For the next two weeks, our focus is on Pesach/Passover, the waving of the barley sheaf, and the Week of Unleavened Bread. In this email, I have a few comments on what it means to be "unleavened."
As with almost every Biblical concept, there is disagreement as to what should physically be removed from a person's dwelling. Here is the commandment as translated into English:

This week YHWH will instruct Aharon and his sons through Moshe as to how to perform their duties as priests offering the korbanot (offerings) in the Tabernacle. First, the "Torah of the burnt offering":

We begin the book of Vayikra and very quickly we are in the subject of sacrifices. If we are to keep the Torah, why do we not do any of the sacrifices today? The answer is so simple...because we do not have a temple. Many people are not aware of the fact that Rav Sha'ul (Paul) did temple sacrifices AFTER the resurrection of Yeshua and AFTER he became a believer, before the Temple was destroyed. We finish the book of Shemot this week with a double Torah reading. Chapters 35 through 40 are somewhat of a repetition of chapters 25-31. The earlier chapters of Shemot contain the plan of the Tabernacle, while the chapters we study this week speak of the actual construction and completion. The Sabbath command with its severe penalty for breaking, opens this week's parasha, while it closed the parallel section in Chapter 31:
