Ask the Scriptures (31-40)

    31) What is the sword?
  • Hebrews 4:12
“For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

    32) What does the sword do to people?
  • Luke 2:35
“(Yes a sword shall pierce through your own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

    33) What did Yeshua state would happen if we follow His commandments and walk in His path?
  • Mark 13:13
“And you shall be hated by all for My Name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

    34) What does it mean to “endure?”
  • Revelation 14:12
“Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Yeshua.”

    35) How do we know if we know Him?
  • 1 John 2:3-6
And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that says, “I know Him,” and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His Word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He that says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.

    36) Should believers do what is right in our own eyes and follow after our own heart? Or, should we just simply follow His commandments?”
  • Deuteronomy 12:8
“You shall not all do as we are doing here today - every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes -

    Ecclesiastes 11:9
“Rejoice, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the impulses of your heart and the desire of your eyes. Yet, know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things.”

    Numbers 15:39
“Seek not after your own heart and your own eyes.”

    37) Should we be careful not to add or take away from His commandments?
  • Deuteronomy 12:32
“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.”

    Deuteronomy 4:2
“You should not add unto the Word which I command you, neither should you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD (YHWH) your God, which I command you.”

    38) Should we serve, worship, and remember God in the same ways that false gods have been worshipped and remembered?
  • Deuteronomy 12:30
“Take heed to yourself that you are not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before you; and that you do not enquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.’ You must not worship the LORD (YHWH) your God in their way!”

    Jeremiah 10:2
“Thus says the LORD (YHWH), Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.”

    Deuteronomy 12:4
“You must not worship the LORD (YHWH) your God in their way.”

    39) Will He have the same commandments during His reign when He returns?
  • Isaiah 2:2-4
Now it shall come to pass, in the latter days, that the mountain of the LORD (YHWH)’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD (YHWH), to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the Word of the LORD (YHWH) from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations and rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

    40) Will we be celebrating the feast of Tabernacles in the 1000 year reign?
  • Zechariah 14:16-19
And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD (YHWH) of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD (YHWH) of hosts, on them there will be no rain; 18If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD (YHWH) strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
